Barikell S.r.l. is an Italian company headquartered in Castelfranco Emilia, within the renowned Mechanical District of Modena, an important industrial area in Italy recognized for its expertise in mechanical engineering, automotive innovation, and advanced technology.
Founded in 1972 by Luigi Barichello, a flooring specialist who leveraged his field experience and strong intuition to design the first power trowels, the company gradually gained prestige over the years. This growth was further strengthened with the entry of Luca Zivieri as a shareholder. As CEO, he led Barikell to establish itself as a market leader both nationally and internationally, offering highly reliable machinery capable of delivering superior-quality results.
In 2018, a private investment fund joined the company.
In 2021, the acquisition of BTC of Vicenza, an Italian company pioneering in the production of equipment and tools for concrete finishing for industrial and residential flooring, took place, thus expanding its presence on the market.
In 2025, Luca Zivieri and entrepreneur Gianfranco Padovani decided to pursue their “corporate belief” and repurchased 100% of the shares of Barikell S.r.l.
